Al-Quds: France Issued Postal Stamp Honoring Palestinian Prisoner
I am holding out hope that this isn’t true, and I do consider the source, BUT if it is true, then it is important.
According to an exclusive report in the daily Al-Quds, France’s postal authority has issued a stamp bearing the portrait of Saleh Hassan Al-Hamori, member of the Popular front of the Liberation of Palestine.
Al-Hamori, a Palestinian from Jerusalem with a French citizenship, was sentenced in 2005 to a seven-year prison term for planning to assassinate Rabbi Ovadia Yossef, spiritual leader of Israel’s Shas movement. The report says that the stamp has been issued as part of a campaign led by French pro-Palestinian organizations calling on French President Nicolas Sarkozy to act toward freeing Al-Hamori.
