I cannot find any credible report of this anywhere. The stamp itself looks like one of those custom made stamps you can print yourself with an inkjet printer, and poorly done at that. It's hard to believe that the French postal service would use its resources to make a stamp for a man in prison for attempted murder, but I suppose anything is possible. More likely, it was printed by a pro-Palestinian group and is being falsely promoted as legitimate.

Tend to agree with Samson. May be wishful thinking, but this seems a very odd thing to do, and it doesn't look right.

I believe this is a website where a template for such a stamp could be purchased:

The US Postal Service offers a similar service.

I am saying the same thing.

"I am holding out hope that this isn't true, and I do consider the source."

The source for this story, the MEMRI Blog, begins by indicating that "...According to an exclusive report in the daily Al-Quds..." So, they are merely reporting that the story was reported in the Palestinian press without attempting to verify its accuracy.

That said, I cannot even find the original story in Arabic, though I wouldn't doubt that it is there, somewhere. In other words, it's yet another misleading and phony story in the Palestinian press, this one rather easily shown to be false.

No wonder it's "exclusive" report. Who else would publish such an outright falsehood and expect to get away with it?

So, unless someone can find evidence to the contrary, I would consider your wish granted!
